We have assembled this page of frequently asked questions (FAQ) and commonly provided answers to better serve our customers. If you do not see the answer you are looking for, please send us your question. We attempt to respond to all questions quickly!
All verified paid orders received before our next ship date/time, Monday through Friday will ship the same day excluding holidays. Our next ship date/time shows on both our home page and in your shopping cart. We will send an email with the carrier’s delivery tracking number to confirm your order. If your order is received after our next ship date/time or we are unable to verify your paid order, then your order will ship the next business day. You can track your order online to get up to the minute status.
For shipments within the US, we offer FedEx's various services. Our standard is ground, which is delivered in 1-5 business days depending upon your proximity to Southern Califonia. Other faster options including Overnight, 2nd day and Express Saver (3rd day) are also available. All prices and estimated delivery dates will show in your shopping cart upon checkout.
By default, the carrier will drop ship your order at your shipping location in a safe and secure area. However, you have the option during the checkout process to require a signature upon delivery. All orders for sets will require a signature upon delivery as well as orders for single irons totaling $200 USD or more. On occasion, we have had reports that a package was not dropped shipped, even when the signature was not required. Ultimately, it is the delivery driver's discretion whether to leave a package or not.
We are proud of our low return rate, which runs less than 1% of sales. Please see the details of our Return Policy via the link at the bottom of every page on our site.
Sorry, we currently do not have pictures at the individual iron level. However, we do have standard identification pictures on the single iron side of the website which will at least help you identify the model.
Yes! All inventory listed on our website is real-time. If you click on "Details/Buy" under "More Info" for a specific iron, you will see additional information about the iron including the price. Once you click on "BUY" the iron will be placed in your shopping cart and is no longer available for sale on our website to anyone else. After 30 minutes of inactivity, all shopping carts expire and the iron will then be available on the website for anyone to purchase.
Yes, we ship single irons to many international locations and the shipping rate varies by country. Sorry, we do not ship any iron sets internationally where the total order amount (including shipping) exceeds $200 USD. You can confirm the specific countries we ship to and the exact shipping rates in your shopping cart when you click on "BUY". The shipping amount is for transportation only and does not include duties, taxes or fees, if any, levied upon entry into your country. If there are duties, taxes or fees, they will be collected by the carrier separately at the time of delivery or the carrier may bill you later. You might want to first contact your taxing authority to inquire on duty/tax/fees rates prior to making your purchase with us. All amounts are expressed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
All prices shown on the website are expressed in U.S. Dollars (USD). You can get an estimate of the current exchange rate by calling your credit card issuer located on the back side of your credit card. Exchange rates/fees are set by your credit card company, not Ironfinder.
You can ask a question about a specific iron or set of irons via our website. From there you can click on "Ask Question" and you can submit your question. Our goal is to answer all questions within 30 minutes during our normal business hours which are Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM (Pacific Time).
Everything we sell is in our warehouse and available for immediate delivery. If you can’t find the exact iron you are looking for after reviewing the list of available irons for a specific brand and model, you can click on the link “Make a Request” at the bottom of the list. Our goal is to make you happy and, of course, for us to make a sale so please let us know if you have specific requirements (i.e. shaft, lie). Once you store your no-obligation request with your email address, we will be able to automatically match your request to new inventory received into our warehouse. We will send you an email stating that we now have the iron you requested available. That’s it! Of course, we can not predict when or how long it will take to get the iron you need. But at least, we will be able to notify you when we do get one in stock.
No, you are not obligated to buy any iron from us. We will simply notify you (and anyone else looking for the same iron) that we have the iron you requested in stock. If you have already found what you need, we would very much appreciate a response back stating this fact. This way, we can remove your request and stop sending you reminders.
No, we don't. We have been asked this question a million times. Yes, the name "Ironfinder" does make it sound like that’s what we do, but it isn't. Our attempt is to keep the most wanted irons in stock and available to be purchased by our customers. However, we do monitor request levels which aid us in making better buying decisions.
This depends on the brand and model. We have had requests made in the morning and filled them in the afternoon. On the other hand, we have some requests that are over a year old.
Requests do not expire. We keep requests on file until we can make a match with an iron we have in stock, you notify us you no longer need the iron or we drop the model from our website.
First, we use Go Daddy! as our secure encryption company. Secondly, we utilize a firewall technology to deter potential hackers from gaining access. Third, we store your credit card information on a server that is not connected to the internet.
Go Daddy! provides an icon that we display on our site that allows you to click on. It will connect to Go Daddy! and return details about the Ironfinder account. All secure internet transactions will be prefaced with HTTPS and can only be allowed with the help of Certificate Authorities like Go Daddy
Yes, we do. Our Privacy Statement can be found via a link at the bottom of any page on our website.
Our specialty is the replacement of a lost, broken, stolen or otherwise missing iron from a set. If our inventory level on any certain model is high enough to warrant selling sets, we will sell them as a set. Generally, the newer model sets can be purchased through traditional outlets. Older model sets, that were very popular in their day, are generally more difficult to locate via traditional outlets and therefore, these sets fit into our specialty niche and we can offer them for sale as sets.
Not currently; however, our database was designed with this in mind. In the future, we may expand our service to include outside providers of irons. Details of such an arrangement are not available at this time.
If we have your set or a similar set available on our site, you can get a rough idea. Another possible source for information is www.golfcollectors.com.
There are a few reasons: first, we only carry pro-line irons. So, if you are playing with a knock-off/clone/copy or "store-line" clubs, we don't carry them. Second, we attempt to carry pro-line brands and models that are or were popular/high demand with the golfing public. Lastly, it may be too new and we don't have it yet - please check back.
We are driven by demand! Please drop us a note at info@ironfinder.com to make a suggestion. We will be happy to respond to your suggestion.
We do our best to be both consistent and objective in the evaluation of every club that we have in our inventory. Please see our Condition Guidelines which explains our condition ratings.
Sorry, we do not make any alterations to irons we sell. We sell them 'as-is'. However, such services can be performed at a golf repair shop near you. You can look them up in the yellow pages for your area under "Golf Repair".

It is a big job and we believe we serve our customers the best by staying focused on irons and not being distracted with woods or putters!

As a way to differentiate used merchandise, a method was needed to categorize irons. Since condition is the one variable that impacts the playability, cosmetics and value of a club, we therefore, classify all irons using a simple scale: Excellent, Good and Fair.
We buy them! We have numerous sources here in California that we regularly purchase irons from. Our typical purchases are trade-ins from golf shops but we also buy product line close-outs direct from the manufacturers.
We buy as often as we can! Due to the nature of the secondary iron market, everyday brings new surprises. Some days we buy a lot of irons and other days we may not buy anything. Our goal is to keep inventory at appropriate levels to satisfy customer requests.
Maybe. It depends on whether your irons are pro-line irons (like the ones listed on our site) and the condition of the irons (good or excellent condition only). We avoid buying fair condition irons since our customers prefer good or excellent condition irons. Additionally, like any business, we only buy what we need. If we have sufficient stock level or the irons are not in demand, we would not be interested in buying them. If you are interested in selling your irons, send us an email. Please fully describe your irons with the same detail that you see on our website including the price you are offering to sell the irons for.
Yes, with the same covenants as mentioned above.
As you might expect, this depends. We have purchased some irons for as low as $.01 each and as high as $150 each. Many factors are considered when purchasing. Which brand? Which model? What shaft type? What flex? What swing? And, of course, the condition of the irons. Equally important is our current stock level as well as the demand for the clubs. If we have plenty in stock or if there is no demand, we would not be interested in buying them from you.
Pro-line irons are the best quality irons. Golfers who play with the best clubs like to keep the best clubs in their golf bag. If a club has been lost, broken, stolen, or intentionally thrown into a lake, it's in the best interest of the golfer to replace this iron to protect his/her original investment. We realized this a long time ago and therefore, we only carry pro-line irons. Another good indicator is the percentage of golfers who contact us looking for a store-line or knock-off iron - less than 1 percent.
