An open letter to our customers and suppliers...

As of Sept. 14, 2023, Ironfinder.com is Permanently Closed

Recent Orders

If you recently placed an order, we will see it thru and support you if there are any problems with your shipment. If there is an issue, please reply to your order confirmation email. As you probably saw on the website, we changed our return policy on Sept 5. There are no longer returns or exchanges.

Why close down?

Personal Retirement: With strong mixed emotions, ironfinder.com has been closed permanently. On one hand, the business runs very smoothly and still has plenty of stock. On the other hand, is the constant ticking of the clock. It is time for retirement. The business supported 2 generations of my family. My father started this idea in 1982 and I took it over in 1999.

Future Sales...

At this time, we plan to open up again in the spring of '24 on eBay only. The purpose is to continue selling down our remaining inventory. This space will be updated at that time with more info.

Thank you

I want to personally thank all our many customers, especially our repeat customers, and suppliers over the years. Without you, none of this would have been possible.

What happened to the website?

The website was a good repository of information about the different brands and models of golf irons we supported. For each model, we would do research and/or monitor manufacturer's websites to ascertain a models production timeframe, what iron numbers were produced, and the other attributes about shafts and grips. It was a labor of love, time consuming and we offered it to you for FREE. In the end, it did help to bring in more traffic. Over the years, our database accumulated A LOT of data on all sorts of aspects, like buying patterns, configuration preferences and popularity. This last one helped in our buying decisions. However, the biggest reason the website does not continue to run is technical. From day one, I personally hosted the website here in our "server room". We had a broadband connection into the building and all the hardware and software to make it happen. The problem with this convenience/control was support. I've always been a stickler for security and I did not want someone else to have access to the servers. If there was an issue, I had to come in to resolve it. Thank God it didn't happen very often but when it did, it was ALWAYS at a bad time! So, to answer the question "What happened to the website?" Here it is, all zipped up and tidy on this huge flash drive. If you are one of the millions that visited ironfinder.com over the past 24 years, you know what a great reference the site was.

But wait... I need a blah blah iron!

Yeah, I'm not going to miss that! Your best bet is to look on eBay. Good luck. eBay is a very good marketplace to find your iron.

I have a question...

If you have a burning question that you MUST have answered, you may email me at tracy@ironfinder.com. If you are asking about a certain club, you will be quicker served by looking on eBay.

Sincerely,

Tracy J Jones
